Options for Atlas

Daily writing prompt
What’s the longest book you’ve ever read?

“Who is John Galt?”

That was the repeatedly asked question in Ayn Rand’s epic, Atlas Shrugged. Rand wrote Atlas Shrugged to resolve some of the lingering issues raised in The Fountainhead. Were Ms. Rand alive to write the epic novel today, she might have opted for the title Atlas Sagged, or Slumpled, or perhaps Shit in His Hat and then Wandered off into the Wilderness to Take a Nap. Either way, she’d likely amend the repeated question to “Where is John Galt?” And we would resurrect the goose that lays the golden egg just in the nick of time, as the poor dog has become a dizzy creature, subjugated by its own tail.
