Beginning in 2023, Jordan Peterson organized a conference he called ARC (Alliance for Responsible Citizenship). It’s a multi-day conference featuring many speakers touching on many topics worth paying attention to. The conference takes me a week-plus to fully devour on YouTube. The 2026 iteration of ARC featured some speakers who helped Jordan Peterson launch the project and appear every year, as well as many who spoke at ARC for the first time. The overarching topics are crafting a confident and optimistic narrative for the future, rebuilding social cohesion, the importance of free enterprise and good governance, good stewardship concerning prosperity and the environment, and a pro-human approach to AI and technology. Every speaker had a message worth listening to, but I took the liberty of plucking four.

My optimism tells me that humans are hardwired for self-preservation, but that we must first endure unfortunate periods before achieving certain paradigms. My pessimism tells me that there must be a reason that the tech-AI boom launched at the very point when Orwellian gatekeepers seized control of institutions, and that wrestling away their control will be no easy feat.
