Gamazda!

Those of you who have probed my blog and pages, in full, can doubtless surmise that I’m a classical music fan. But that doesn’t preclude me from branching off into other genres; I’m also quite enthusiastic about jazz and classic rock. Recently, I discovered a Russian-born, classically trained pianist who performs classic rock songs in many venues and thought I’d share the discovery. She’s a one-named sensation known to her fans as Gamazda. Watch her perform Deep Purple’s hit “Smoke on the Water” in a church. I promise you it will be the niftiest music you’ve heard in some time!

  1. Ok wow! From the first three notes I thought this is something. Her body language (right hand just relaxed at her side while the left went to work) was so telling of what was about to be delivered. I’m open to anything and everything musically!!

    1. Glad you enjoyed it, Kiki. This young lady has a steep repertoire of covers, including Pink Floyd’s “Comfortably Numb” and the Stone’s “Paint it Black.”
