This time felt different. This one touched a place in me rarely felt. In my lifetime, I’ve experienced many public figures shot at, some killed, but this seemed to cross a line not crossed since the 60s, my childhood. Since forever, the left has owned college campuses and those right of center were seen and not heard. And then a figure appeared. He was brash and brave but always sought to build a bridge. He was just as comfortable rubbing elbows with Gavin Newsome and Bill Maher as he was with Candace Owens and Matt Walsh, and by way of applying cogent analysis to our many differences, he unmuzzled young conservatives and showed them how to take their rightful place at the table. I shouldn’t speculate but would imagine it was an antisocial man incapable of a relationship and children who pulled his trigger. Indeed, many years ago, I watch Ronald Reagan hit the deck and, most recently, Donald Trump. But this felt different, even before the ultimate pronouncement. I would like to close by saying “Rest in peace, Charlie Kirk,” but no happily married thirty-one-year-old man with children should be resting, peacefully or otherwise.

I enjoyed watching his video where he debated Christ’s existence and different mindsets. I never saw him get extremely angry at anyone. He listened to individual’s questions or statement and would respond with a caring informative answer. He gave his life for Christ.
No matter what the powers that be says, this was a hate crime against a Christian. I hope this act opens people’s eyes to what is coming. I feel sorry for the assassin and pray they repent but I have my doubts they will. I feel bad for his family and pray they can forgive.

Good thoughts. But there are those who woke today and didn’t see that a devoted husband and father was taken; they only saw race, gender, and politics.
