Once upon a time, the stars aligned; thus, a phenomenon of empirical cosmology handed me a key, a rare treasure that unlocked a universe within a universe. Inside this realm of unparalleled idyll, I was given free rein to explore. And thus, from the deepest of depths to dizzying heights, I traversed every quadrant; the breadth of each expanse, like explaining consciousness or a transcendental province, seemed boundless; it would require more than one lifetime to exhaust its munificence.
And still the gift kept giving. Days of rapture folded into splendorous nights in unending procession. And then arose a day when I captured her gaze. The thrall of the moment rendered still the legs of a once ambitious explorer, for it awakened me to the realization that I, too, possessed a key, a rare treasure, and bestowed it with equal generosity.
